The reserves put in a great performance as we put 4 past the league leaders.
The Reserves today played top of the table, Paulgrove Reserves and knew we were in for a tough game as the opposition have been rich in form. This match saw the debut for Goalkeeper Phil Kinally and midfielder Mark Stanmore.
First Half
The first half belonged to the mighty Town as we scored 3 goals, Rich Parrett scoring a free kick and Tim Bennett hitting 2 good goals. We also dominated play 35 minutes but then the visitors put pressure on us for the last 10.
At half time Chris Andrews came off with a knock and Jason Kaye came on as his replacement.
Second Half 3-0 Up
In the second half saw a more balance in the play as both teams put pressure on each other. For the 1st time in the match our defence got breached as their player ran through and put the ball past the oncoming Phil Kinally. As the vistors got their goal we felt the momentum was with them, but this wasn't to be. Our 4th goal was a great move, started by substitute Tevik Edin who passed it to Mark Bailey on the right and centered it for debutant, Mark Stanmore who put the ball in the net from 9 yards out.
