The Town come unstuck against Championship favourites Paulsgrove
The score 2-0 was very flattering to Bishops Waltham as in reality, Paulsgrove should have won by more.
From the start of the first half to half time, Bishops Waltham were under a barrage of pressure and Paulsgrrove should have been at least 2-0 up at the break if it wasn't for missed opportunities, good defending and good saves from the Bishops Waltham Keeper Adam Faulkner. The town went in 0-0 which was quite fortunate.
Second half started and Bishops Waltham come out a bit more positive, putting more pressure on the Paulsgrove defence. As the game opened up so did Paulsgrove start to create more chances. The breakthrough come on the Paulsgrove right, as Ian Heather cut in inside and hit a well placed shot into Faulkner's bottom right. It wasn't too long till Paulgrove doubled their lead, ball cut back from the right and Paulsgrove striker hit a shot into the top corner to make it 2-0. Paulsgrove should have made it 3, as their stiker hit a shot, initially well saved from Faulkner but the deflection did not have enough height and Ryan Leather had to clear the ball off the line.
Despite not scoring yet this year, Bishops Waltham are creating chances and when the ball finally hits the back of the net we all believe we will that game well.
